OUR AIMS & GOALS

THE AIMS OF OUR ASSOCIATION

To have every small rental provider in Fairfax become a member of the Association.

To ensure that all advocacy positions taken by the Association are endorsed by a majority vote of the members via online polling.

To speak as the voice of the small (Mom & Pop) rental providers in Fairfax.

OUR CURRENT GOALS

To support Ballot Measure I in the November 2024 election that repeals the two rent control ordinances (called Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction) passed by the Town Council in 2022.

To have the Town Council recognize that the small rental providers in Fairfax are essential community stakeholders that need to fully participate in any future discussions regarding ordinances that affect rental housing.

WHAT WE DO

CREATE AWARENESS OF OUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO FAIRFAX

Our town's 'Mom & Pop' rental providers contribute to Fairfax's unique small town character. We provide over 2/3rds of the rental housing in town, about 1,000 units, in small multi-family dwellings, duplexes, cottages and ADUs.

We have invested, generally for decades, in creating and maintaining rental housing on our own properties.

ADVOCATE FOR A FAIR & VIBRANT COMMUNITY

There are over 750 small housing providers in Fairfax. We need to be visible and to be heard.

We can speak with one voice as concerned voters in this community on matters relating to fair rental housing ordinances and policies.

We are part of the solution to the housing crisis.
